Fairy tales

Students read Fairy Tales and completed an organizer describing the story elements.

Tall Tale Wheels

We made wheels about our favorite Tall Tale. The wheels included the characters, setting, main idea, and an example of exaggeration.

Matter molecules

Our class made examples of molecules to represent a solid, liquid, and gas.

The children enjoyed spending time with their grandparents during breakfast.

We read Tall Tales this week and discussed exaggeration as an element of this genre. Each student selected an exaggeration from Pecos Bill or Paul Bunyan and illustrated the exaggeration.

This week we learned about different communities. Students drew an example of an urban community, a suburb, and a rural community.

Our class read Arthur books and completed story maps by naming the character, setting, problem, and solution.
